Salt at the Ritz-Carlton
The fine-dining room at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island on the island's south end — the most formal restaurant on Amelia Island, inside the resort rather than in a walkable district.
Summer Beach resort
An oceanfront luxury resort on the island's Summer Beach stretch, with its own dune walkovers, spa, pools and the fine-dining restaurant Salt. The island's top-tier property and the base for the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance week.
The Ritz-Carlton occupies its own oceanfront parcel on the Summer Beach stretch of Amelia Island, between the Fernandina accesses and the Plantation resort area, and it is the island's luxury benchmark.
What that buys, in practice: a large oceanfront building with direct dune walkovers, a spa, pools, a golf offer, and a dining line-up headed by Salt, the resort's fine-dining room, with Coast as the more casual oceanfront option.
The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance — the island's biggest event on the international calendar — is centred on the resort and the adjoining golf course each March. If you are visiting that week, book far ahead and expect the whole south end to be busy; if you are not, avoid it unless cars are the point of your trip.
Couples, special occasions, and travellers who want the beach with a full service layer on top. It also works for families — there is a children's programme — but the Omni is the more obviously child-shaped resort on the island.
Same as the rest of the south end: downtown Fernandina Beach and its independent restaurants are a ten-minute-plus drive, and stepping outside the resort does not put you in a walkable district.
Room counts, restaurant hours, spa treatments, resort fees and pet policies change; we have not confirmed the current position. We do not publish nightly rates. Check directly with the property, particularly around Concours week and major holidays when minimum-stay rules often apply.

A internationally significant classic and collector car event held each March on the south end of Amelia Island, centred on the Ritz-Carlton and the adjoining golf course, with auctions, seminars and a concours judging weekend.
